My Best Friend Sarah

this girl named sarah moved into my appartment late last summer. The moment i met her i  knew she was super cool, and i wanted  to be her friend right  away. We sat and got to know each other over pigs in a blanket, with some cheese in it. Over the months i have known her we have become extremely close. In fact she is my best friend. "this girl is  going to be in my  wedding"-real world slutty girl.

20. SHE'S A BAGEL!

Much has happened since the last entry. Mainly a series of GREAT concerts! There is much to say and we will see how much I end up putting on here. 

First was the Something Corporate Concert on November 11 (11:11 ß which many people got excited about! Ha!)  This was a wonderful wonderful show! I am still a little sad that William Tell is no longer part of that band but it is okay.  He didn’t actually get replaced though, which is funny. Cause the guy the guy that is taking over his role has been playing been there since Will left (which is a long time) but I have no clue what the guys name is and he is never mentioned and he isn’t in their new pictures or anything so I don’t think he is actually a part of the band.  Which is funny!  Anyway, the first thing to mention is that Andrew changed his hair.  It is now black and spikey and there were times when he looked very much like peewee herman.  But he is super cute anyway! I think they played every song on their last album, which is cool and all but I like their old songs better.  They played a couple old songs, including “walking by,” which is one of my favorite songs so that made me happy. My favorite part was when they were about to play “she paints me blue” and he said “this is a dancy little jam…” and they he started doing this cute little dance as he played his piano! It was so cute! I also liked how he kept making slight changes in the songs which made it special, like how he added a verse in Konstantine which came out of nowhere.  Seeing them at chain was the best! Nice and small just like the good old days when nobody knew who they were.  It was funny cause I kept hearing people talking about how they are famous blah blah and it seems to funny to me because I don’t even see them as being famous and these people only knew of them because they are on the radio and whatnot and “famous.”  Okay. Enough about SoCo. All in all a GREAT show!

Next was the Bullets and Octane concert on November 13.  A great show like usual.  I liked one of the opening bands a lot. They are called the Rock n Roll Soldiers and their songs are all very similar, but it is good and I like the way the Asian singer moved! When I listen to their music now I can picture him moving, which makes the song oh so much better! Haha! Bullets was full of energy and they rocked like always.  The only thing that pissed me off was that this chick in front of me had zippers on the back of her shirt and they kept scratching the hell out of my arm! So I left with battle wounds.  We had some funny Kodak moments after the show and I didn’t get to talk to Skye, but its okay.

Friday, November 19, I went with Ash to UCR to see a play her friend was in.  It was Our Town and it was good.  Ash’s friend, Jeff, was so funny! It was great! He is the kind of person who is funny every second naturally.  Just the way he talks and the things he does are so funny!  There were other UCI people at the play so we thought they knew one of the guys in it cause it was transfer from UCI, but then when it was over they just stood there in a little circle and didn’t talk to anyone.  Then we ended up going to a frat party.  And I guess it was a Latino frat cause that is mainly all that was there.  It was okay. The music kinda sucked and the people down in Riverside are odd.  They were all just standing around and wanting to sit down and they were short and nobody knew how to dance.  It was a grand old time.

And finally was the Plain White T’s concert, which was yesterday, November 20, which is also Eileen’s birthday.  On our way to pick up Eileen to go, she called me to tell me that she just got in an accident (in the parking lot as usual), which was just peachy cause she was trying to say she couldn’t go with us anymore, but there was no way I was gonna have that, so we went to the Hilton where she was and decided to watch her present at the Med Mission Gala.  It was just great because it is a formal thing and jus and I looked like little hoodlums.  So we sat in the back and Eileen was telling us how they said she couldn’t eat and if they offer us food we had to say no because we didn’t pay.  So when Eileen goes up to present, the waiter comes over to us and tries to give us food and was say no cause they would get mad at us.  And he kept trying to give us food and I kept saying no  and I finally just told him to bring us some bread, so  he did and then a couple seconds later he comes back with another guy and they keep telling us to eat and they wouldn’t take no for an answer, which was great because the food was so good and we were very hungry. We got dessert and everything and we didn’t have to pay for anything! Haha! On the way to the show there was some crazy driving as Eileen was trying to follow us but Justine kept going through yellow lights and Eileen would get stuck at the light and nerdy Eileen wouldn’t answer her phone so we could communicate.  Lots of circling around and it all came to an end when jus wasn’t turning when she was suppose to so I had to yell and then she just stopped in the middle of the lane instead of getting in the turning lane so we ended up holding up this HUGE line of traffic and Eileen kept honking at us and ill I would do was laugh my ass off!  So we finally got to the concert in time to hear some screamy band and then Plain White T’s.  It was so funny cause people kept moshing and Justine got all pissed at this one little blonde kind who pushed her really hard so she was letting all of her frustration out on him.  Her face was priceless when she was pushing him! It was the best thing ever.   It was also pricless to see Eileen getting into the whole mosh pushing ish! Haha! Great, just great! I was laughing so hard has I was pushing people! And then there was this huge guy who was trying to push around or something, but all he was doing was booty bumping me and I just kept moving closer and closer to the left and I was pretty much under his armpit! It was very gross! After all of that craziness, Plain White T’s came on and we were pretty much dead center and Tom kept singing right to us (like inches from our face) and the patted Justine’s head during one of the songs and pointed directly at Eileen during another.  It was great seeing Eileen getting all into it and going crazy and even singing a long to the songs that she knew.  I love seeing them the most! Their songs are so good and there is so much energy and love! Haha!  Somehow while they were playing these bitched managed to get in between us and they had all of this hair.  So there were three girls in front of Eileen and I with all of this long hair down in my face and it is so nasty cause everyone is all sweaty so the hair just sticks to you.  I had hair all on my face and tangled all in my hands and when I tried to sing I just got all of this hair in my mouth and the one fucker kept swinging her head all around making her hair fly everywhere and it kept smacking us in the face (mainly me).  And she was doing it just to be an asshole and I had enough so the next time she did it I just grabbed a big handful of her hair and pulled it down as hard as I could and I did that every time she did it after that (she didn’t do it as much).  After the show we bought stuff from the hot merch guy (who looks like Lucas from empire records…which is very hot!) and then went outside to get some pictures. First we talked to Eileen’s friend John who goes to UCI and was just randomly there and called them the plain white tee shirts which was very funny! I love how you can take Eileen to the most random place where she would never go and she still manages to see someone she knows.  We first talked to Dave and saw a car that had a sticker that said “phreek” which we could not get over and will now be using regularly.  Then the plain white t’s guys all got together cause people wanted group pictures.  And it was funny cause after they took one Tom came over to us and started talking and all of the other guys kept yelling at him to come back cause other people wanted pictures but he wasn’t listening and just kept talking to us and then went to take more pictures and then came back to talk to us some more.  Then it started to rain, but we couldn’t leave without taking pictures with Justine’s love, Tim.  Be he was being attacked by the bitches with the long hair so we waited and he finally told them he had to go and then we got our pictures and left.  On the way home it was POURING huge strong drops of water.  It was so crazy and Eileen’s broken car piece kept making funny sounds and Justine was following us and called to say she didn’t know that her sister’s car had wings! Haha. When we got off the freeway it started making crazy sounds like it was hitting the ground so we pulled over and when we got out I was sooooo cold that we couldn’t handle it.  It was raining and the wind was very strong so we ran back in the car and were literally shivering and saying how it was below zero when it was probably 60 but it was just way too cold to handle!   And the night was over.

It had been an exciting month full of AWESOME concerts and photo opportunities and there are many more to come!  

I am a little delayed on this entry (sorry Jus). Any who, I went to Chain Reaction Monday night with Justine to see Number One Fan, which was sort of a problem because I had my psych midterm at 8 am the next morning.  But I couldn’t pass it up because they are from Wisconsin and that is very far away! So last time we saw them we came to the conclusion that we liked Jon and Matt the best because we talked to them the most and they were the very nice and I thought Jon was cute.  Well, I’m going to start off at the beginning of the show.

So the first band we the snake the cross the crown, and I liked the last song they played cause it was the only one we really heard.  But I bought their CD so I will be listening to it later.  Then it was days away.  And I thought that I knew some of their songs but they did not play any of the ones that I knew.  One of the guys was cute but they all looked funny and weird in their own little ways while they were playing. 

When Number One Fan started playing we were very excited and then we saw Jon and started laughing cause his hair was longer and sort of straightened and it looked kinda funny but its okay cause he is cute.  Nick and Mike were wearing their winter gear and it was very cute! I very much liked what Nick was wearing! Layers are VERY good! So they played and it was very nice! And I noticed that Jon is CRAZY when he plays! And Nick moves around the stage a lot, which is all stuff I did not notice the first time, but then again I didn’t really see then that well when they played the first time. 

After they played, Armor for Sleep played and we only listened to a couple of their songs and then went to buy merch, which was nice because I thought the merch guy was very cute! a lot of merch guys are cute!

So we went outside and found the band and couldn’t decide which boy we wanted to talk to because they were all in different areas talking to different people.  So we started talking to Nick first and he was super nice! It was a nice talk and then we went with him to see the sticker that some other chicks made for their car that said “number one fan” with stars.  When we got over their Mike started talking to us and he remembered us and gave us a group hug, which was lovely.  He had the best camera ever! I really want one like it! Its one of those really nice SLR digital cameras! Sooo nice! And super hot that he likes pictures (and has a nice camera to go with it).  So we talked some more and took some group pictures and then they had to go inside to sell their merch, but not before I got a few more individual pictures with Mike and Jon.  I think that the pictures we took are very nice and I love them! And then it was time to go home and sleep before my midterm!
